52. Thanks for the info #38- as far as the book Dreams of My Father. I did read Audacity of Hope. Africans usually follow the trail/culture of their father- (loser or not) especially male children and typically they do not consider themselves white even if born of a white woman. He identifies himself as black, he is black, to blacks he is black & to whites he is black.
His race is and always will be the underlying variable, not because he bad mouthed his mom & grandma, if they were black, it probably wouldn't matter much. We don't know what type of relationship he had with his mother or grandparents... (flakey/old & tired or whatever.) We don't know how he was treated or received because of his father, race or anything like that. On that I will not judge.

There are a lot of flaky parents & losers who abandon their children (ALL races included) Depending on the individual, not all hold it against them. If Obama hates whites... who does the other candidates hate???

55. After yesterday, I have lost all respect for Senator Obama. It is quite obvious, the white house is vastly more important than maintaining your ethics and morals. It certainly was worth it to him to throw his white grandmother under the bus. It is obviously more important to him than his religious beliefs. After 20 years in the same church, and respecting and admiring his pastor ( Whom he certainly did not have to agree with 100% of the time) but whom was on his panel of advisors until his doctrines were released by the media. Now becasue of the contreversy the pastor has left the campaign trail. Yeah Sounds like the Senator was standing by him really good. I also completely question who would attend this type of church on a regular basis indoctrining his children in this manner and then asks us to believe that he does not share the same viewpoint.

Nice speeches do not change facts.
How can we expect a man who was a mediocre senator, with an abysmal attendance record to actually lead the country?
That is a 24/7 job and you just can't decide you don't want to show up.
